With his retro-based soul and alternative sound, singer/songwriter/producer Austin Sexton seeks to send musical nostalgia and a colorful aesthetic through the ears by bringing live instrumentation and traditional song structure back to a modern day free-for-all music production platform. Playing the majority of instruments in his records, he stands close in the circles of Daniel Ceasar, Khalid, Childish Gambino, The Maria’s, Snoh Allegra, Tame Impala, Toro Y Moi, and has performed with mainstream music acts from G-Eazy, The Maria’s, Ty$, Schoolboy Q, Jeremih, Travis Scott, to KYLE, B.O.B, ASAP Ferg, Jhene Aiko and several others.

Born and raised in Southern Pennsylvania, Austin currently resides in Los Angeles and is active as both an artist and producer, having co-produced Kyle’s recent lead single “To The Moon” (RIAA Certified GOLD on August 10, 2018) and the entirety of Demrick’s upcoming album Came a Long Way, on which he is also featured.

In July 2018 Austin released his “Paola” single and PAOLA EP, his first EP since his debut project Good Sex, which he released in 2017. Laced with haunting vocals and eerie-yet-sexy groove, the songs are fresh take on a vintage 60’s sound with the feel of new-era r&b records. Lastly, he is gearing up for a late 2019 album release.

He also has several records self/co produced for several artists under Atlantic/Warner set to release this year. In early 2018 Gibson recognized Austin’s prowess with guitars and selected him as one of its brand ambassadors, as well as Native Instruments recognizing him as a 2019 “producer on the rise”.
